About our broadcasting
The City of Albany has programming responsibilities for Comcast Cable Channel 28 (Linn County) and Channel 23 (Benton County. We simulcast our YouTube live channel to Comcast customers as a public service. The channel is provided for government use as part of the City's franchise agreement with Comcast.
Albany City Council meetings are broadcast live beginning at 7:10 p.m. on the second and fourth Wednesdays of the month (meeting schedules are adjusted in November and December to accommodate year-end holidays).
The archived video is posted to the City's YouTube channel by the Friday following the meeting and linked on the City Council page.
Programming also includes a calendar of public meetings and special events presented by the City of Albany and announcements of upcoming events sponsored by the City’s business and government partners.
